Of all of the Caribbean Castaway shows… Do you have a favorite…?- Sherry - Sandy Bay
Actually … NO… hahaha.. but the reason is pretty simple… I really connected with everyone I’ve done these shows with… Hearing the stories about why a person likes a song for instance… or hearing them talk about their family or friends who remind them of songs is really uplifting to me… (IF YOU AREN’T AWARE OF THE PROGRAM … CLICK HERE) Plus I remember exactly where I was when I recorded these shows… Sitting with William Crisp on his couch… Riding in a Car with Lisa Sanders… On the top floor of Infinity Bay with Kyle Kuhlmayer… Drinking a beer with my friend Steve Parr at outdoors in St. Augustine, Florida… I love these shows because they are personal.

It really becomes more obvious a Christmas time when you might hear “GENE AUTRY sing RUDOLPH” segue into “GUNS N ROSES with WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE.” I really break the rules by offering music that is over 60 years old… But they are songs everyone knows… and do you know any song currently being made that “EVERYONE” will know in 60 years?
I don’t… So I will keep on playing everything hoping Roatan keeps liking it… and for the people around the world who listen too… I’m just glad to be doing this as I have for more than 40 years now…

There is a ton… I love classical music… I love Spanish Music… Especially Flamenco Guitar… When I was growing up, I hated country music… but I love the old country… The country music of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Marty Robbins… I dig it… I’m working on a country station in collaboration with MAXcom… That will be fun to listen to..
